Race to the Taste 5K - in reply to Bobby - is getting a great response.

ACRR Members pay just $15 before April 21. So far, 43% of current entries are from out of the area. Hotel options are posted on our website: www.racetothetaste.org

It looks like this race will be capped at 500 runners for our first year.

Runners, remember you and a guest get in free to A Taste of St. Augustine ($10 value) - yummy food and plenty of live music.

Hope to see you all there! :)

Hey Liane...Got it! Thanks:)

#15254 Liane (on Mar 8, 10 7:20 pm)
Eva, I googled "gate river run confirmation", clicked on the first entry and was able to get to the proper site and get my race # and confirmation. Make sure you page down once you get to the site.

#15253 BP (on Mar 8, 10 7:14 pm)
Thanks Dave, Thursday is too late this week but I will try to schedule that from now on. I usually do speed work on a power line road in the Shores but I don't like the standing around and walking in circles for my rest time.

#15252 Eva (on Mar 8, 10 7:12 pm)
Thanks Tracy and Justin...I'll look further in to it!

Shelby....can you confirm that I've paid my ACRR dues...otherwise I'll bring a check to the meeting:)

#15251 BamasTracy (on Mar 8, 10 6:19 pm)
Eva and Liane - called about the Gate confirmation last week and was told the site had not been updated recently but hoped to have it done by Friday...oops, guess they didn't get around to it.

#15250 007 (on Mar 8, 10 3:35 pm)
Can't wait to be back with ACRR this weekend! Even if I am not running. :( Good luck to all.

David/Leah-Is there anything you need to go with your coffee maker for Gate? Do you have coffee/filters? I can pick up some cups. Let me know. Thx.

#15246 David Beck (on Mar 8, 10 8:40 am)
Eva - I was having some trouble as well but I registered under my office address instead of our home address. So check the zip code in you search.

BP - The ACRR has use of the track at SAHS on Thursday nights from 5:30 to 7:00 when there is not a conflict with HS athletics. I will post each week what the availability is. It will also be on the calendar one I can get the school to respond to my numerous calls asking for an updated calendar of events. Hope to see you out there.

#15245 Liane (on Mar 8, 10 8:33 am)
Eva, same problem. Thinking I'm doing something wrong, but don't know what.

#15244 BP (on Mar 8, 10 7:23 am)
When is it ok to use the High school track and what are the rules of our use?

#15243 Eva (on Mar 8, 10 6:37 am)
Is any one else having trouble getting their confirmation for "Gate" online? I keep getting "0" results match.

#15242 fred (on Mar 8, 10 4:19 am)
shelby sure thing!

#15241 Last call... (on Mar 7, 10 11:32 am)
same stuff as before for those not in the know...
I am having a free CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) class for ACRR at my house Monday march 8th, from 7-10pm. This is not a certificate class, no card will be issued, it is informational only. The AHA calls it the Friends and Family Course. I will review adult, child, and infant CPR and choking and other common emergencies. Please give me a call or text if you can attend there is limited amount of room and practice mannequins. Come on over, we'll have some eats, drink some beers and create some emergencies. I'll throw together food, but bring whatever you like to drink. Ron Langdon 814-7337. 200 N. Matanzas Blvd, google map it or call me and i'll get you there.

I have ACRR, Decker, Mike, John, Meredith for Gate RiverRun tents. I need 1 more for the massage area...yes, massage area! Anyone?

Don't forget that you have to be an ACRR member to join in the fun. Also, bring a food item to share, and your beach/lawn chair to relax before/after the race.

Also - I need one person to go with me on Friday morning to Jax for a pre-set up of our area. Not sure Fred if you are still up for the task??

Dear Info seeker,

Megann Schooley is the Director of Wellness at The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences Wellness Center where she is responsible for operations of the Wellness Center and the development of employee, student and community wellness programs. She is also a part-time faculty member on the Wellness/Exercise/Orthopaedics team for the University of St. Augustine's entry level DPT program and online programs. She works clinically in St. Augustine as a part-time physical therapist in an outpatient orthopaedics private practice.

She would probably be a good source as to where your sister might find what she is in need of. The USA number is (800) 241-1027 and they can probably put you in touch with her.

#15228 Todd (on Mar 5, 10 10:41 am)
Beck and Calkins are out for the 5:15. Others?

#15227 Info seeker (on Mar 5, 10 10:39 am)
A "fat farm" is what they used to be called. They probably have a politically correct name now. However, they are a place for overweight people to go to get help with loosing weight, among other reasons. My sister is coming down from up north. She has gone through chemotherapy for breast cancer and somewhere in that process has also gained weight and/or got out of shape. She asked me if there was somewhere down here where she can go to get back in shape and/or loose some weight.
So I figured, someone in the local running club may have info concerning this and/or could point us in the direction towards this. I tried Adventure Boot Camp but they haven't responded yet. Is there anywhere/anyone else I can contact?

#15226 MA (on Mar 5, 10 9:56 am)
Before I'm corrected, low tide is @ 5:39 pm today. ; )

#15225 Answer (on Mar 5, 10 9:52 am)
A fat farm is where fat people are grown. Duh.

#15224 Not scared (on Mar 5, 10 9:50 am)

#15223 Fat Farm? (on Mar 5, 10 9:36 am)
What exactly is a "fat farm"?

#15222 Need info please (on Mar 5, 10 9:15 am)
Is there a "fat farm" in St. Augustine specifically for women?

#15221 Hart Bridge (on Mar 5, 10 9:12 am)
