ACRR made a fantastic showing in Chicago with 38 out of 39 ACRR runners finishing the race. This was the first time in the history of the Chicago Marathon it was canceled mid race.

The morning started with an early rain looming as the humidity suffocated the participants during their warm-up. The women were slated to start the day. The pre-race favorites, according to www.ancientcityrr.org, were Sally “Shut Up and Run” Howes and Libby Arnold. Some of the dark horses with wheels were, Nichole Gebhart, Liz Adams and Jessica Born. Each woman had her reason as to why she should not be considered a favorite.

On Saturday, March 17, the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum invites everyone to the 15th Annual Lighthouse Festival.
Admission to the tower, museum and grounds is free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Victorian-era Light Station will be filled with children’s games and crafts, pony rides, live entertainment, and refreshments. Please remember that for their safety, children need to be 44” tall in order to climb the tower, and an adult must accompany children under 12.
