We’re a little more than a month away from the 2nd annual Don’s Friends 5k. For the second go-round more events have been added.
Friday night packet pickup/expo begins at 4p at the St. Augustine Beach Pier. There will be over 40 vendors this year. And later that night there will be a Disco themed party with prizes for the best disco costumes.

With the 2011 Gate River Run being a few short days away I hope everyone has gotten in enough Vilano Bridge repeats!
This year’s ACRR exclusive area features Porta-Potties, beer, massages, a changing area, soda, water, utensils, cups, napkins, etc. If you are going to be there you may want to bring a chair and a food item to share.
Remember — Only current club members can enter the reserved ACRR area. if you are not sure if your membership is up to date you can check this list or contact matanzas5k@gmail.com with any questions.

St. Augustine’s largest 5k, the Matanzas 5000, is only a week away and this year we are hoping to shatter last year’s record of almost 1,700 finishers! So register early and plan to pick up your packet Friday night at the Expo. This year the packet will include an exclusive tote bag provided by the title sponsor First Coast Rehabilitation. The Matanzas 5000 runs through historic downtown St. Augustine and it kicks off at 9:00 am on January 22nd. You can register online or print the registration form and then pick up your race packet prior to the race.

the Ragnar Relay is happening right now! ACRR has submitted both a men’s and women’s team and the men’s team is attempting to set the state record. follow the action on the ACRR discussion board. update– the men’ team came in first and the women’s came in second.
